ENRIC MONFORT is a creator, composer, and percussionist. His creations are generally characterized by a strong poetic focus and the use of sound spatialization as a dramaturgical element. Enric Monfort engages in direction and creation primarily through the musical realm, placing significant importance on space, dramaturgy, and conceptual elements.

Monfort graduates Cum Laude from the Conservatorio Superior de Castellón, the Amsterdam Percussion Group Institute in the Netherlands, and with Emmanuel Séjourné in Luxembourg. He specializes in the rhythmic complexity of South India at the Conservatorium van Amsterdam and explores his interest in the possibilities offered by new sound technologies and robotics.

As an instrumentalist, he has collaborated with the finest chamber and orchestral formations in Europe: Asko/Shoenberg Ensemble, New European Ensemble, Koninjklijk Concertgebouw Orkest, Liceu Orchestra, Palau de les Arts Valencia Orchestra, National Orchestra of Spain, etc. He has been working with Slagwerk den Haag since 2008 and regularly collaborates with the dance company Club Guy and Roni. He is a member of Black Pencil and Postland Collective and has performed as a soloist in Europe, South America, and Asia.

In addition to his outstanding career as a performer, Enric Monfort has developed a personal language as a composer. He creates music for theater, dance, and film. His creations, like the Library of Sounds and Noises
(with J.A.Portillo), Tierra (featuring Antonio Canales and Jorge Pardo), Latitud Sud, Miniatures, Tales From Outer Suburbia (with illustrations by Shaun Tan), Karnatic Bridge (with B.C.Manjunath) or PULSE
have been featured in renowned festivals and theaters such as Temporada Alta Festival, Teatre Lliure Barcelona, Teatros del Canal, Matadero Madrid, Muziekgebouw Amsterdam, Flamenco Biennale Nederland, Korzo Theater La Haya, Burgos Escena Abierta Festival, MACBA Barcelona, Borusan Sanat Istanbul, Rotondes Luxembourg, among many others.

His 2022 creation, "La Reina del Metal," with dancer Vanesa Aibar, wins the Max Award for Best Dance Show 2023 and also the Best Show Award at the 40th Feria de Palma.
